What we offer

Our work focuses on the safe and responsible handling of art objects and museum components. In doing so, we take care of, among other things:

  • Physical placement and anchoring of objects in display cases, on pedestals or on walls
  • Assembly of customized mounts for specific or vulnerable objects
  • Assist with construction and dismantling of exhibitions in cooperation with curators or exhibition builders
  • Careful handling with attention to material, weight, balance and protection
  • Integration of objects in technique or scenography, in consultation with client

Custom Mounting

Sometimes an object requires more than standard mounting hardware. Filax develops and assembles specialized mounts that match the shape, fragility and presentation context of the object. Think of transparent holders, metal constructions or demountable carriers. These are developed in consultation and often realized in collaboration with museums or designers.
